KUALA LUMPUR, October 20 – UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta”) (formerly known as Faber Group Berhad) was awarded the prestigious 2015 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Integrated Facilities Management Competitive Strategy Innovation and Leadership Award.
The award was presented to UEM Edgenta at the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards ceremony, held at the Conrad Singapore recently.
Janice Wung, Industry Analyst, Energy & Environment Practice, Asia Pacific at Frost & Sullivan said that UEM Edgenta has performed strongly in the past year by expanding its portfolio, diversification and implementing best practices in the company.
She added that the integrated facilities management (IFM) market in Asia Pacific is fragmented with a large number of small and medium participants competing on pricing with similar service proposition.
“The competitive scenario in the market is fueled by the low barrier of entry and the growing awareness on outsourcing among end users. “We are proud to have been conferred with this award as it acknowledges the transformation UEM Edgenta is undertaking in bringing asset solutions to the forefront for the company and industry. It is also testament of our high performance standards, breadth and depth of our services as well as our role as one of the leading total asset solutions provider in the region,” said UEM Edgenta’s Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer, Azmir Merican who was present to receive the award from Aroop Zutshi, Global President & Managing Partner of Frost & Sullivan.
